We recently ran across this totally avoidable sight of a repainted hood with a failing clear coat. Looked like a bad case of peeling sunburn... Although we did not talk to the owner we have heard the likely argument against a clear bra before. Too expensive, I'll just respray it for less, don't like the look, etc... While you could always just repaint your car every few years, next to nobody would really do that. Scrimping on a paint job = Failures.
